Apple Adds Better Search to Tiger
There's an article in today's NY Times about Apple adding better search in Tiger. Jobs stated it's easier to find a document among millions on the web using Google than to find a document on your own hard drive. I was reminded of Udi Manber's talk, that I wrote about here, where he said search is not a solved problem yet.
One of the things I miss about not using the Notes client for mail is being able to effectively search through messages AND the attachments in the mail messages. I'm hoping the new mail app in Tiger will get closer to what Notes had ten years ago.
