TinkerTool

TinkerTool allows you to access user settings built into Mac OS X that cannot be controlled by the standard "System Preferences" application.

Enable the Finder to show hidden and system files. (Handy when mounting an iPod as a Firewire drive. Hint: copy music to another computer.)
Force an updated import of Mozilla-based bookmarks into Safari.
Put the Dock to the top screen position.
Use transparent Dock icons to show hidden applications.
