Mac Mania

It was almost too much for one weekend. I got to start tweaking my new iBook and the newest Apple store in Seattle opened. I couldn't make it in time to stand in line to get an Apple t-shirt, but Joe informed me later that the line stretched about 100 meters and it took over an hour to get in the store. The crowd, giddy with the excitement of the new Apple store, clapped for a customer that left with a new G5.

The Seattle store is much bigger than the Bellevue store. It has a theater in the back with about 40 seats and a big projection screen. They had more accessories than the Bellevue store and a bigger selection of software. The collection of machines seemed comparable.

When I got there at 9:30 PM Friday, there were more Apple store employees than customers. They looked like they had been through a hard day, but it was only 3.5 hours after the store opened.
