Apple Laptop

ibook4.jpg

I have noticed there are more Apple laptops than PC laptops at our local coffee shop. Currently, Apple laptops are accounting for 77% of the laptops I have noticed and counted. It's about to go higher -- I placed my order for a new 12" iBook.

The wife is relieved to not have to listen to me talk about specs or review my spreadsheet showing buying on-line versus buying at the Apple Store in Bellevue versus buying at the soon-to-be Apple Store in Portland and not having to pay sales tax, but estimated gas expense...well you get the idea.

The waiting paid off. I wanted to get a copy of Keynote, but couldn't justify the price for as few presentations as I give. It's US$50 off through December 27, 2003 when you buy a new computer. So I got a copy.

I'll feel free to hack on the iBook more than the family eMac, where I consider myself a guest on the machine. I'm off to start gathering my list of software to put on it in anticipation of the big day.
